The Board of Home Care Ontario, representing frontline home care providers, welcomes the $100M investment (Announcement) this year for enhanced home and community care and caregiver respite.
"This funding will support those who require enhanced nursing, personal support and therapy services." said Board Chair Linda Knight. “It is critical that this funding reach the front-line of care to help all people in their own homes.”
"Caregivers are an incredibly important and necessary part of the home care system everywhere across the province", said Sue VanderBent, CEO. "Respite care to support them is very important to home care providers".
Home Care Ontario applauds the government's continued support of a progressive health care system that includes a robust and expanded home care sector. These investments will support more Ontarians to live at home, receive care at home, and as they wish, to have the choice to end their days at home.
