Home Care Ontario extends congratulations to the new Ontario Cabinet Ministers announced today by Premier K. Wynne. The Association is pleased that Minister E. Hoskins retains his post as Minister of Health & Long-Term Care in order to continue to lead the Patients First Strategy which was enhanced by the recently-introduced legislation, Bill 210 – The Patients First Act.
Home Care Ontario also looks forward to working with Minister D. Damerla in charge of Seniors Affairs, which complements her experience to date in Health. Minister M. Coteau is welcomed to his new role as Minister of Children and Youth Services.
We believe that the government has a strong team to build the province’s health and social care system ensuring that Ontarians of all ages – from young children to the very elderly have access to excellence in frontline home care.
Home Care Ontario will continue to work closely with government and health care partners to provide the unique perspective of the day-to-day care provided in the home, at school and in some cases, at work. Together we will work to establish a system that provides faster access to information, resources and care.
